The ICC High School Youth Group offers a place for teens to socialize with their friends in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our group enjoys playing games and participating in discussions about living as a Catholic teen in today’s world. In addition, we provide opportunities to participate in service, youth conferences and retreats.
YES, we “masked up,” took temperatures and continued to meet throughout the Covid pandemic! Some things we did during 2020-2021:
Sept. – Suicide Prevention Prayer Walk
Nov. – Luminary Walk, In Honor of All Souls
Dec. – Adopted a parish family for Christmas
Jan. – Winter hike at Round Valley Reservoir
Feb. – “Unlocking Agape” Escape Room
March – Guest Speaker on Coping with Anxiety
April – Discovering Our Path
Our group plans to resume meetings this coming September 2021. We have concluded our meetings for the 2020-2021 school year. Our 2021-2022 calendar will be posted here, so stay tuned.
We have a teen leader group that works with our adult volunteers to plan youth group discussion topics, DJ music, run activities and manage our Instagram page. High school juniors and seniors active in youth group are invited to become a teen leader, where they can earn leadership service hours for their school or National Honor Society.
We invite all high school students to join us. If you’d like to join our monthly email or have questions, please contact Lisa Lee at lfranichlee@gmail.com. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @ ICCHSYouthGroup.
